Our Town, Made Even Better

Tanjong Pagar Town Council (TPTC) is on a mission to improve residents’ lives with a high-quality and sustainable living environment. We’ve been setting goals, implementing projects, and maintaining infrastructure to deliver on this commitment.

Recently, we’ve completed five developments aimed at creating safer, more communal spaces and cultivating a stronger community spirit. These include family-friendly areas, new improvement projects and repair and redecoration works.

How many of these enhancements have you already spotted? We’ve compiled them all here to ensure you don’t miss out on any of them.

Radin Mas Bird Lovers’ Corner

Before

After

The 112 Bird Lovers’ Corner in Radin Mas has been refreshed to create a more comfortable space for individuals to share contemplative moments while bird-watching. We’ve added extra tables and chairs, built a ramp for increased accessibility, and repainted the area, creating a more inviting environment.

This project makes the corner more welcoming for all Radin Mas community members, regardless of their level of mobility—something we at TPTC constantly strive for.

Revamping Blk 48A Strathmore Avenue MPH

Before

After

The facelift of Queenstown’s Blk 48A Strathmore Avenue, offers increased safety and security and improved functionality for its residents. The area’s aesthetics have also been enhanced, with the structure repainted.

This development is not only about creating a more visually appealing place to visit but also about enhancing an almost century-old building.

Tekka Centre Repair & Redecoration

Before

After

Tekka Centre in Moulmein-Cairnhill is a popular local spot, known for its bustling atmosphere.

We have repainted the centre and performed necessary repairs as part of its extensive renovation. Revitalising this vibrant community hub is a key priority for us so that it remains an appealing spot to visit; as well as to ensure the safety of store owners and visitors.

New BFA Ramp & Integrated Family Playground

Before

After

If you’re in the area, we hope you’ve made full use of Henderson-Dawson’s BFA Ramp and Integrated Family Playground next to Blk 119 Bukit Merah View. We breathed new life into an empty space by creating an inclusive and accessible playground, perfect for families to spend quality time together.

This initiative aims to uphold our sense of community and family bonds – with a conducive space for children and parents to relax and connect through physical activity.

Drop-Off Porch at Block 113 Commonwealth Crescent

Before

After

For this initiative, we’ve constructed a solid foundation and extended the roof at the drop-off porch for a safer, weather-proof pick-up and drop-off experience.

This simple upgrade brings a great deal of extra ease and convenience on rainy days for all our residents – particularly those who are elderly or have other issues with mobility.
