Residents Lead Clean-up Session During Town Council’s ‘Cleaning Break’
At the recent SG Clean Day, we invited our residents to step up and join us in being active stewards of the environment.
At the recent SG Clean Day, we invited our residents to step up and join us in being active stewards of the environment.
On 27 April, Tanjong Pagar Town Council (TPTC) arranged litter-picking sessions with residents in Tanjong Pagar GRC in light of SG Clean Day.
In this quarterly event, our Town Councils and their partners stop their cleaning operations for a day: a gentle reminder that we are each responsible for keeping Singapore a neat and orderly place to live in.
Another goal of SG Clean Day is to let residents recognise the hard work of our conservancy workers. In line with this, our Advisers Mr Chan Chun Sing (at Buona Vista) and Mr Melvin Yong (at Radin Mas) took the opportunity to present a token of appreciation to the workers for their tireless efforts in maintaining the cleanliness of our towns.
We are grateful to everyone who braved the heat to join us for this activity. Together, we collected about 50kg of rubbish. Well done, everybody!
