During the past months, we have strived to ‘walk the talk’ and implemented internal sustainability and environmental action tasks to support our surroundings. As an organisation operating on a mission to provide a high-quality living environment, we continuously go above and beyond by embracing eco-friendly practices.
We’ve achieved purposeful successes and are excited to take you on a riveting ride, reminiscing what an incredible 2023 has been.
From getting involved in community engagements to reaping the rewards from our triumphs, let’s harken back on buzzworthy highlights that made our hearts genuinely full!
Festive Walkthrough: A Timeline of Our Monumental Milestones
Part of completing our quest towards quality living conditions is taking the initiative to participate in meaningful community activities that uphold holistic developments in residents.
We aim not just to beautify and renovate spaces for individuals. But we also intend to take part in something deeper by mediating rapport between each resident in Our Tanjong Pagar.
We are thrilled to invite you to take a detailed look at what we have brewed for the past year.
Through launching and donating sustainable items, conducting outreach pursuits, student visits and more, we have proved that our organisation is truly driven by our pledge and purpose–to build a proactive community that cares and to craft transformative experiences for each individual in our towns.
If there’s anything these moments have taught us–sticking to our organisation’s purpose is crucial in being a catalyst for community change. Holding on to this, we have delivered not just significant results. But also valuable experiences that touched the lives of the Tanjong Pagar residents.
Green Champions: We’re Proud To Reach Our 1,000th Tree Mark!
Green living and sustainability are hardwired into Tanjong Pagar Town Council’s values and ambitions.
Earlier in February, we began our journey to a greener future by launching the “Plant A Tree @Our Tanjong Pagar” programme, where we aimed to plant 1,000 trees with our devoted residents throughout 2023.
This year-long campaign backs up Singapore’s One Million Trees Movement to impact the environment significantly and harbour a greener planet.
We started our first sessions at Telok Blangah Crescent, Jalan Bukit Merah, Mei Ling Street, and Cambridge Road.
On November 5, we emerged as stewards of the Earth and planted our 1,000th tree at 73 Redhill Close!
Around 800 residents have witnessed the tremendous event.
Residents can quickly locate the tree they planted through the TreeSG Map, a platform by the National Parks Board. Every tree planted will also be represented by a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) created by TPTC.
Moving forward, we would like to express our gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for the 3,000 Tanjong Pagar residents who participated in 14 tree-planting sessions!
You have all made the world a better place to live in. Your contribution to caring for the environment also reflects your love and commitment to others, which is something truly admirable.
Ending The Year As Award-Winning Eco-Advocates
In completing our whole-year adventure, the recognitions we’ve received also made wrapping up 2023 sweeter. Over the months, we are happy to bag three awards and three accreditations!

The organisation is absolutely thrilled to be acknowledged and trusted in the realm of promoting a sustainable environment. We couldn’t have clinched these awards without the main drivers of our success: the town residents.
They have always been the backbone of what we do, inspiring us to continuously and consistently bring innovation and sustainability to the table. These citations are for the people in the organisation, but especially for the residents the council serves.
But more than these honourary distinctions, the organisation takes pride in the impact and action it contributed to the many lives in Tanjong Pagar. We have always been and always will be an advocate for creating green and safe spaces for towns.
